Malpractice UT Health East Texas was created as a therapeutic way for me to express my frustration with being a victim of malpractice. When I reached out to medical malpractice attorneys, they didn’t want my case. Not because I had no malpractice case, but because my losses were not significant enough for the attorneys. As I have recently learned, this is fairly common with medical malpractice. Its worth noting that doctors and hospitals are aware of what attorneys look for in malpractice cases.
Options For Victims Of Medical Malpractice
Since finding an attorney was out of reach, I looked at more options. Doctors can be reported to the state medical board. Hospitals can be reported to state and federal license agencies. When these such reports are made to any of these offices, here is no guarantee that there will be any kind of investigation. There could be no consequence to the person or hospital named in the report.
Filing a complaint is free, but its best to not wait for any kind of accountability. I’m sure extremely serious claims would be prioritized over reports of negligence. There is one good thing about making a report to the proper agency is that it really never goes way. It will follow the named person or hospital. If a number of complaints from different sources are made about the same issue, a pattern or history can be proven.
I also have learned that pain and suffering in the state of Texas is $250,000 max. So that means that IF I were to get my malpractice case into court and won my maximum court judgment would be for $250,000 because Im still alive with all of my body parts. Likely why the malpractice attorneys were not interested in my malpractice.
So for me, I built this website. Publishing my medical malpractice information makes me feel like, I’m being heard. Maybe I can help someone else by sharing.
Its only FAIR that if I have to live with what happened to me _ that the doctors and hospitals should have to live with what they have done to me.
So I am publishing my medical records publicly. I am also giving away my medical records and supporting documents to medical malpractice attorneys and some investigators.
I believe that by helping other people in similar situations is the right thing to do.
