In the state of Texas patients have the right to receive Itemized medical bills. These patient right laws apply to hospitals, private medical services, medical equipment suppliers, and to any doctor with an active medical license.

Most health care providers will be happy to provide patients with itemized bills. Try first to politely ask for the medical bill you want.
Of course there are health care providers that do not like to provide medical bills. Hence the need for a state law requiring them.
