Extra Attention With These Records

On 2/8/2022 McMullen noted that I showed no signs of neurological issues. Negative for dizziness, tremors, seizures, weakness, light-headedness, numbness and headaches. On 3/8/2022 The notes for neurological only say “she is alert”. There is no mention of the other neurological stuff previously mentioned.

On 2/8/2022 McMullen noted “she is obese. She is not ill-appearing, toxic-appearing or diaphoretic.” I believe the term “Obese” that McMullen was incorrect. I believe the correct term for me would be “Class III obesity” because my BMI at the time was over 40. On 3/8/2022 McMullen noted “she is obese”. Again, I do not agree we the label of “Obese” I believe the correct term to label me should be Class lll obesity since my BMI is over 40.

On 3/8/2022 Dr. McMullen did not comment on gastrointestinal issues or left CVA” tenderness as previously mention on the 2/8/2022 records.

Important thoughts about this visit

Looking back at the clinical records for this visit and the diagnosis, something seems off. The only symptoms listed are tenderness and mild swelling in my right cheek. There is no mention of fever, pus discharge, tiredness or other infection symptoms.

After reading about this type of infection online. Most medical sites mention using imaging or swabs samples taken from the mouth. No labs or images were taken. Also mentioned is personal care during the course of taking antibiotics. Dr. McMullen did not instruct me to do anything for home care.

Examples include:

  • massaging the infected area
  • staying hydrated
  • warm compress

This office visit lasted about 15min. She came in did a quick exam and wrote a prescription for antibiotics. Then she spoke with me about my annual well woman’s exam with the remaining time.

A “leaflet” distributed by Ardent Health was also attached to my visit summary titled “Basics Of Diet And Health”. The exact same leaflet that was attached to my 2/8/2022 office visit.
