Sick telephone visit with Dr. McMullen 2/22/23, medical records says that I had some kind of cold / flu symptoms and called to get medical help.
I called UT Health East Texas at 8:17 AM spoke with Annadelia M. She noted that I have been sick with the same symptoms for a couple weeks without relief. I was calling to get in to see Dr. McMullen asap for a sick visit.
- Symptoms:
- Sinus Congestion
- Sneezing Episode
- Mucus
Kaitlynn B. calls me at 9:48 AM and gives me home treatment instructions. She specifically mentions in the notes that I was asking about medical care because of the length of time I had been sick without relief. Like I was questioning the effectiveness of the home treatments she had suggested.
Recommended Home Treatments by Kaitlynn B.
Dr. McMullen Added To Medical Record
At 2:15PM Dr. McMullen noted that she was sending in a prescription for amoxicillin for infection also.

The last note says that I was notified and understand.
On This Day, I Had Been Taking Pantoprazole Non-Stop For:
- 1 years 0 months 14 days
- or 12 months 14 days = 10 MONTHS and 14 DAYS longer than the FDA recommends

More To Think About
While its not noted in this telephone visit, I believe its worth mentioning that March 8, 2022 I was diagnosed with a Salivary Gland Infection. The gland infection diagnosise wasn’t confirmed with any kind of Lab testing. The diagnosis was done with a short physical exam in the clinic.
While the symptoms are different, the previous year I had sinus infection type illnesses. Being that the salivary gland infection wasn’t confirmed with any kind of test – thinking it could be something be set off by seasonal alergies.
